Episodes Summary

Episode 1 – A Demon Loses His Power

My Demon’s first episode presents Jung Gu-won, a formidable demon who has been negotiating with people for generations. He eventually gathers their souls in exchange for fulfilling their desires. Gu-won, who leads an opulent lifestyle and is self-assured, thinks nothing can challenge his abilities.

Additionally, the story presents Do Do-hee, the astute and aspirational CEO of Mirae F&B. Despite her outward strength, she is viewed as a rival by others around her. The founder of the Mirae Group, Joo Cheon-sook, treats her like family and is the only person she really trusts.

Gu-won and Do-hee’s lives cross unexpectedly during a business meeting that quickly turns into a series of strange encounters. When they first meet, their personalities collide instantly and create a good deal of both humorous and tense situations. But as things begin to heat up for them, and on the way to becoming a couple, Do-hee turns out to be a target of some abstruse violence that then becomes a life-threatening situation for her as Gu-won tries desperately to save her which creates his own life-threatening situation that involves both of them going into the water. What happens next changes everything. After they survive, Gu-won realizes that the mark containing his demon powers has mysteriously moved from his wrist to Do-hee’s.

Gu-won is rendered helpless for the first time in generations by the startling transfer. He remains close to Do-hee, determined to regain his talents, while she tries to figure out why she’s suddenly connected to a demon. Both of them are left stuck in a fate neither of them anticipated as the episode comes to an unexpected conclusion.

Episode 2 – A Power That Changed Everything

Episode 2 immediately kicks off with the aftermath of a mysterious incident, finding Do Do-hee and Jung Gu-won surprisingly safe after the dust settles. When Do-hee opens her eyes in a hospital bed, she finds herself puzzled why Gu-won won’t leave her side. But Gu-won’s focus isn’t on Do-hee, but on an altogether more alarming sight; in place of the demon mark that belonged to him is Do-hee’s wrist.

Desperate to unravel what’s happening, Gu-won soon stumbles upon an astounding discovery – that he can only get his supernatural powers back when he’s within reach of Do-hee. Alarmed when Do-hee tries to get rid of what seems to be the origin of his powers, he can’t quite grasp why the two polar opposites are linked.

Back at the Mirae Group, Do-hee finds herself amidst another struggle for power, facing constant doubts about her position in the company while someone keeps a close watch on her every move. Meanwhile, Gu-won is on the hunt to track the masked man who previously tried to attack Do-hee and understand what’s happening. Just when things start to seem stable, a biker appears in the day and splashes acid at Do-hee. Quick as a flash, Gu-won jumps and shields Do-hee with his own body.

As another cliffhanger brings their unusual relationship into sharper focus, it’s clear that their unique connection has become far more than chance. It might be what keeps them alive.

Episode 3 – A Proposal That Changes Everything

The moment Jung Gu-won saves Do Do-hee from the sulfuric acid attack and immediately heals when their bodies touch through the mark on her wrist, she finally confirms he is no normal person. He tells her, “I am a demon” but he does not understand why his power now relies on her.

Do-hee gives her statement to the police as she realizes there is likely a real person who is actually trying to kill her. While Gu-won searches for the masked killer in hiding, the shocked Do-hee requests he becomes her bodyguard, and despite his efforts to avoid it just for himself, Gu-won finds himself watching her.

Things get very emotional when Do-hee is shocked with devastating news and rushed to Cheon-sook’s greenhouse to see the woman who raised her lying dead on the ground. Tears fall as she pleads with Gu-won to bring her back to life but unfortunately, even for a demon, it is not possible. After that, Gu-won and Do-hee attend the funeral service where it soon escalates to power-hungry members of the Mirae family fighting for dominance instead of giving her proper sendoff.

The loss of Cheon-sook’s life slowly becomes suspicious to Do-hee as the realization that she did not meet her death naturally sets in.

And as the danger escalates, Do-hee makes a bold and unexpected move – offering a contract marriage with Gu-won to protect them. The proposal leaves him dumbfounded.

Episode 4 – The Will That Changed Everything

Episode 4 begins with Do Do-hee’s unexpected marriage proposal leaving Jung Gu-won completely stunned. While Gu-won struggles to understand why she would suggest such an arrangement, Do-hee explains that a contract marriage could protect them both. She needs someone she can trust after the recent attacks, and Gu-won knows staying close to her is the only way to regain his demon powers.

Soon after, the Mirae family gathers for Joo Cheon-sook’s will reading. The moment she made her final wish was filled with tension. Most assume she would pick from her own family as her successor. Instead, she names Do-hee as her successor to the Mirae Group. This announcement shocks everyone, and many of the family members express their rage openly. From that moment, Do-hee becomes the target of even greater hostility.

While dealing with the family conflict, Do-hee refuses to believe Cheon-sook died naturally. She thinks everything has a purpose so she will be looking for answers while Gu-won will observe closely and help her when she’s in danger. Although he claims that their relationship is only business, he seems to act differently to help her.

The Mirae family is feeling very much on edge about their family’s past as there is an ongoing investigation and with every conversation, more doubts arise as to whether anyone in the family should be trusted.

In the end, Gu-won accepts Do-Hee’s offer for a contract marriage; they both have concerns about their relationship but a secret enemy watches them looking for an opportunity to attack again.
